Happy Horidays!

HELLO! Time for Merry Christmas update! I finished my finals on friday and left for Michigan saturday afternoon. The roads were a bit slick but I made it to my house just fine (obviously). My family and I then went to New York to celebrate Christmas w/ the family...yeah that doesn't sound correct but oh well. That was fun, got clothes..monay...good stuff. Wii played Wii at kuya philips place and i owned everyone at wii bowling. it was wiiawesome. Here are some pictures from New York...ENJOY!

Thanksgiving

Officially Thanksgiving Break!

Right now, I'm in Michigan for Thanksgiving break! I drove up on Saturday and arrived at my house around 8 PM. There's actually snow on the ground, but not that much. I'm sure there will be lots more in December. A lot has happened since the last blog update. For one, my laptop's hard drive is corrupt >_< It had all my screening notes on it that I had to turn in last Friday, but I wasn't going to watch 8 movies and take notes on them, I had more stuff to take care of. Even though I'm on break, I will be working on papers and doing homework. Hopefully I can purchase a new and faster HDD for my mac. Gonna start backing up files now, you'd think I would've done that after the first time my HDD failed on me. I think I will work on some Japanese homework and start on an advertising paper...maybe look at some HDD's ROR

Changes

Looking at old pictures along with new ones, I have noticed a significant change in myself. For instance:


This is me during my senior year in high school. As you can see, I was a bit childish and was a crazy teenager


This is me during my junior year in college. Here, you see a lot of change from the first picture like the different hair, and more adult facial expression.

Election Month

On November 4th, Barack Obama was nominated as President elect for the United States! The first black president woohoo! I'm definitely excited, even though I don't delve into politics that much. What I found interesting as I was observing both the Conservative and Liberal scenes were the distinct reactions. Obviously Liberals were happy and Conservatives were sad, but just more specific reactions. I guess it's best seen in the Obama/McCain South Park episode, watch that and you'll see what I'm kinda getting at.

Anyways, now it is getting extremely cold. Well not extremely, but pretty cold...to the point where I'm catching a cold! hahaha! yeah...uh..So I'm a bit sick and have a bad cough but besides that, it's almost Thanksgiving...than Christmas! My favorite holiday, time to tune to the christmas radio station and drink hot chocolate.

Halloween Weekend

This year's Halloween weekend was INCREDIBLE! Let's start off with Friday...My friend Ashley had a party at her place so I decided that that would be my first stop for the night. I took Kev along as well. We got there kinda early as there was no one really there and played some pong in which I won twice. Afterwords, Ashley said her other friend had a party to goto, so we went there. It was a random house where we had to enter through a broken fence to get in. Turns out this house is one of my classmates' house so it was all good. Some chick fell and hit her head on a table and passed out, I bet she felt that even more the next morning! We didn't stay there for too long, actually we went back to Ashley's place to find a lot more people came. At this time, I decided to call my friend Mark and told him about a party I was going to hosted by the IU ASO (Asian Student Organization). We left Ashley's place, picked him up, then headed to Bloomington Playwright Project. Now this party was the highlight of the week, it was AMAZING. Not only were there a bunch of dressed up crazy people dancing, but I was able to get up on stage in front of the DJ for most of the time and look like a complete idiot. It was so much fun, got to dance w/ a whole bunch of girls...one in particular was dressed up as Rikku from FFX-2. Unfortunately, I have no pictures of this party :( On Saturday, Karli and Zach picked me up at my apartment to goto Jared's place. On our way there, we picked up MIKE HAMMOND then met up w/ Passion and her bf over there. Karli was Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz and Zach was the scarecrow, great costumes! Mike was a Cubs fan in his pajamas while I was Tyrone Biggums, the crack addict from Chappelle's Show.

We stayed there for a bit, then went over to KDR for a few minutes. Not much happened the rest of the evening unfortunately. I was a bit shocked to see my computer go back an hour, than I remembered Daylight Savings time woohoo! Can't wait for it to snow and get dark earlier. Time to get the hot chocolate out.

TESTS BWAA

So the last two weeks have been pretty hectic...2 Japanese midterms, a global media midterm, a c190 midterm tomorrow (today actually), random advertising quiz and about a million Japanese quizzes! Good thing I'm done w/ most and have the weekend to look forward to. Unfortunately, I was planning on going up to Michigan to visit the family but that is not happening. The 6 hour drive sucks but I'd wanna see them sometime soon. Anyways, UNSCHOOL related (yes I invented that word, don't steal it) my hair is getting longer and I am able to style it cool-like now...yes cool-like. Gonna be an AZN pop star OMG LOL and I'm g0nnA Pwn!

I got it to work, but now it's getting really cold and all my sweaters are up in Michigan! My friend has my favorite gray hoodie and I really only have one light jacket. Guess I'll go buy like...3 or 4 sweaters...yeah! So, I better sleep now or study a bit for my test later today, I'll just end this post with a random picture

EXAMS!

So, I decided to start my blog back up. This week so far has been okay, got an A on my kanji quiz, finished my note-taking for Rear Window and I'm somewhat prepared for my 日本語 midterm (written and oral). Next week, I have a paper due on Tuesday which I haven't started yet and a C190 midterm on Friday. Hopefully I can go home to Michigan next Friday, the drive just sucks. My 2:30 class today was canceled so I had a chance to read an article for my paper at the IMU Starbucks (which is where I am right now). Cognitive Psychology is next, but I don't have that until 4:40 so I guess I'll just sit here and drink more coffee （コーヒーをのみます）。 Gotta brush up on that Japanese!
